Three Alarm Fire at 79 Harmon Street

On January 7, 1996, at 0328 hrs., companies responded to a fire reported at 79 Harmon Street, which was a 2 1/2 story woodframe house. Engine Company 10 arrived on the scene at 0331 hrs. The fire progressed to three alarms. There were three fatalities and eight injuries at the fire. According to Public Service Electric & Gas, the house did not not electrical service prior to the fire.
