On June 27, 1997, at 0838 hrs., companies responded to a fire reported with people trapped at 271 Cator Avenue, which was an occupied two and one half story house. Engine Company 19 arrived on the scene at 0839 hrs. Three victims were rescued but unfortunately two of the victims succumbed to their injuries.
