On April 8, 1997, at 0154 hrs., companies responded to a fire reported at 31 Emory Street, which was a two and one half story frame house. Squad Company 4 arrived on the scene at 0157 hrs. The fire spread to 27 Emory Street. There were two special calls made at 0211 hrs. and 0219 hrs. The fire was under control at 0315 hrs.
