On Tuesday, March 14, 2000, Mayor Bret Schundler, together with the Division of Senior Affairs will present the Fourth Annual Elder Law Day.
This event, which is open to all senior citizens in Jersey City, strives to provide seniors with information about wills, power of attorneys, patients' rights in hospitals and the future of Social Security. The panel, which consists of the Honorable Donald W. DeLeo, Joanne Jeffries, Esq, Harold Grodberg, Esq, Yvonne Bryant and Mayor Bret Schundler, will also be available to answer any questions seniors might have on the above issues.
"I feel that by participating in Elder Law Day, I am providing seniors with an opportunity to ask questions and address concerns about the services provided for them. My fellow panelists and I will do our very best to ensure that all Jersey City seniors have the right information to handle any situation that arises," said Mayor Bret Schundler.
Elder Law Day will be held at St. Patrick's School in Jersey City. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m. Mayor Schundler is slated to address the seniors at 12:00 p.m.
