Jersey City
Mayor Bret Schundler, members of the Municipal Council and members of the Department of Public Works will cut the ribbon to open the newly renovated Virginia Park. The park was just completed after a four-month reconstruction.
Just some of the improvements made to the park are:
The total cost was approximately $260,000. More details of the project will be provided at the ribbon cutting.
"This is another example of how Jersey City is coming back. Jersey City is getting cleaner and greener. This park will be a example to the people of Jersey City that the City cares about its green space and recreation areas," Mayor Schundler said.
